Complete Question:-

The mass of a lead piece is 115 g. When it is

immersed into a measuring cylinder, the water

level rises from 20 mL mark to 30 mL mark

Find :

(i) the volume of the lead piece,

(ii) the density of the lead in kg m-3.

Given:-

mass = 115g

Initial level of water = 20ml

Final level of water =30 ml

So rise in level =10 ml

As the piece is immersed into water, so it'svolume is equal to the rise in level of water

Thus, Volume of lead piece.

=> 10ml or 10 cubic centimeters.

Formula:-

 =  > Density =  \frac{Mass}{Volume}

Solution:-

  =  > \frac{115}{10}

 =  > 11.5g/ {cm}^{3}

 =  > 11.5 \times 1000 \: kg/ {m}^{3}

=11500 kg/ {m}^{3}

Final Answer:-

=11500 kg/m³
