The mass of a tin containing 2000cm3 paint is 3kg. if the mass of the empty tin ,including the lid is 0.4kg.calculate the density of the paint​

Answer:

density \:  =  \frac{mass}{volume}

mass of filled tin = 3kg

mass of empty tin = 0.4 kg

=> mass of paint = 3-0.4 = 2.6kg

volume \:  of  \: paint = 2000cm³  = 2000 \times 10 {}^{ - 6} m {}^{3}  = 2 \times 10 {}^{ - 3} m {}^{3}

density =  \frac{mass}{vol}  \\ density  =  \frac{2.6}{2 \times 10 {}^{ - 3} } = 13 \times 10 {}^{ 2} kg \: m {}^{ - 2}
