Answer:

Given:

mass of an electron =  9.1x10 -31 kg

kinetic energy = 3.0x10 -25 J

h=6.6x10 -34 Js

By using de- Broglie equation :

wavelength = h/mv = h/ p  ,where  h = Planck's constant, p= momentum

as P= √2Em , by subtituting the value of p we get,

wavelength = h / √2Em            (E= kinectic energy )

wavelength = 6.6 x 10-34/√2 x 3.0 x 10-25 x 9.1 x 10 -31

                  = 6.6 x 10 -34/√54.6 x 10 - 56

                  = 6.6 x 10 -34/ 7.4 x 10 - 28

                  = 0.89 x 10 -6 m
