The mass of an electron is 9.11x10^-31 kg. Calculate the uncertanity in its velocity if the uncertanity in its position is of the order of 10pm

» According to Heisenberg's uncertainty Principle :-

=> Δx.mΔv ≥ h/4π

Where Mass of electron

= > m _{e} = 9.11 \times {10}^{ - 31} \: kg

= > h = 6.626 \times {10}^{ - 34} \: kg

therefore :-

=> Δv ≥ h/4πmΔx

     = 6.626× 10^-31 / 4 × 3.14 ×9.11× 10^-34 ×10×10^-12       ( 1pm = 10^-12m)
