The mass of an empty specific gravity bottle is 35g in a physical balance.
When it is completely filled with water, the mass changes to 75g. Now
the bottle is washed and dried and again filled with methanol. The
weight of bottle with methanol is found to be 67g. Calculate the
relative density of methanol.

Explanation:

see.......

bottle mass = 35g

water+bottle mass = 75 g

water mass=75-35=40 g

methanol+bottle=67g

methanol mass=67-35=32g

r.d=32g per cubic metre/40g per cubic metre
