Answer :-

(i) Density in C.G.S unit = 23 g/cm³

(ii) Density in S.I. unit = 23000 kg/

Explanation :-

We have :-

→ Mass of the ball = 115 g

→ Volume = 5 cm³

To find :-

→ Density (In C.G.S and S.I. unit)

________________________________

Firstly, we have to calculate density of the iron ball in C.G.S. unit. C.G.S. unit of density is g/cm³ . So, putting values in formula of density, we get :-

Density = Mass/Volume

⇒ Density = 115/5

Density = 23 g/cm³

Now, we have to calculate it's density in S.I unit . S.I. unit of density is kg/m³ . So, we have to just convert the answer obatined above in S.I. unit .

⇒ 1 g/cm³ = 1000 kg/m³

⇒ 23 g/cm³ = 23(1000) kg/m³

23000 kg/m³

Answer:

Though SI unit of density is kg/m³, for convenience we use g/cm³ for solids, g/ml for liquids, and g/L for gases.

Explanation:

CGS unit —

Density = mass / volume

Density = 115/5

Density = 23 g/cm^3

SI unit —

1 g/cm^3 = 1000 kg/m^3

23 g/cm^3 = 23000 kg/m^3

Density = 23000 kg/m^3
