Given:

  • The mass of an iron ball = 312 g

  • The density of iron = 7.8 cm³

To be calculated:

Calculate the volume of ball?

Formula used:

Density = mass/volume

Solution:

We know that,

Density = Mass / Volume

★ Substituting the values in the above formula,we get

⇒ 7.8 = 312 / Volume

⇒ 7.8 × Volume = 312

⇒ Volume = 312 / 7.8

⇒ Volume = 3120 / 78

⇒ Volume = 40 g/cm³

Thus, the volume of the ball is 40 g/cm-³ .

✰✰ ANSWER ✰✰

\longmapsto\tt{Mass\:of\:Iron\:Ball=312g}

\longmapsto\tt{Density\:of\:Iron=7.8{cm}^{3}}

Using Formula : -

\longmapsto\tt{\large{\boxed{\bold{\bold{\green{\sf{Density=\dfrac{Mass}{Volume}}}}}}}}

Putting Values : -

\longmapsto\tt{7.8=\dfrac{312}{Volume}}

\longmapsto\tt{Volume\times{7.8}=312}

\longmapsto\tt{Volume=\dfrac{312}{7.8}}

\longmapsto\tt{Volume=\dfrac{312\times{10}}{78}}

\longmapsto\tt{Volume=\cancel\dfrac{3120}{78}}

\red\longmapsto\:\large\underline{\boxed{\bf\blue{Volume}\orange{=}\green{40g/{cm}^{3}}}}

So , The volume of the ball is 40g/cm³.....

Density : -

Density is defined as mass per unit volume ..It describes the total space taken by any object...Formula for Density is : -

\longmapsto\tt{D=\dfrac{M}{V}}

Here : -

  • D = Density
  • M = Mass
  • V = Volume
