The mass of an iron ball is 800g. What should be its volume to have a density of 7.87g cm per cube.?
Also find its density in SI unit and its relative density.​

I)Mass(m)= 800g

Density(d)=7.87 g/cm³

We know ,

Density=mass /volume

Or, volume = mass/density

Or, volume = 800/7.87

Or , volume= 80000/787

Or, volume = 101.7 cm³ (approx)

Density of water at 4°C( in cgs unit)= 1 g/cm³

II)Relative density of iron= density of iron/density of water at 4°C

= 7.87/1 =7.87(relative density being a ratio has no units)

Answer: I) 101.7 cm³

II) 7.87
