Given mass is halved 1/2
and velocity is 3

Applying the kinetic energy formula
ke =  \frac{1}{2}m {v}^{2}   \\  \frac{1}{2}  \times  \frac{1}{2} \times  {3}^{2}   \\  \frac{1}{4}  \times 9 \\  \frac{9}{4}
So kinetic energy of the body will be decreased by 9/4 times
