Answer: 0.071 g

Explanation:

Q=I\times t

where

Q= quantity of electricity in coloumbs

I = current in amperes = 1 A

t= time in seconds =30\times 60=1800s

Q=1A\times 1800s=1800C

NaCl\rightarrow Na^++Cl^-

2Cl^{-}\rightarrow Cl_2+2e^{-1}

96500\times 2=193000Coloumb of electricity deposits 1 mole of  Cl_2

1800 C of electricity deposits =\frac{1}{193000}\times 1800=0.009mole of Cl_2

Mass={\text {no of moles}}\times {\text {Molar mass}}=0.009\times 71=0.662g

Thus mass of chlorine deposited is 0.662 g.
