the mass of cyclist together with the bicycle is 100 kg. Calculate the work done by cyclist if speed increases from 10km/h to 15km/h ?

To calculate the work done by the cyclist mentioned in the question, we have to do the mathematical calculations which are mentioned below:

Initial speed of the cycle (u)= 10 km/h

Final speed of the cycle (v)= 15 km/h

Mass of the total system (m)= 100 kg

Change of the total kinetic energy in the given system:

=∆KE

= 1/2 m (v²-u²)

= 1/2× 100 (15²-10²)

=1/2× 100(125)

=12500÷2

=6250 J

=6.25 KJ
