fist calculate moles of ammonium nitrate present

n=wt of ammonium nitrate/molar mass

n=1000/80

n=12.5

since 1 mole of NH4NO3 contains 1 mole of N2

therefore 12.5 moles of ammonium nitrate will contain 12.5 moles of nitrogen

moles of nitrogen=wt. of nitrogen/molar mass of nitrogen

12.5=wt/28

hence wt=12.5×28

wt=350g
