The mass of sun is
2 \times 10 {}^{30}
kg and the mass of earth is
6 \times 10 {}^{24}
kg. If the average distance between the sun
and the earth be
1.5 \times 10 {}^{8}
.calculate the force of gravitation between them.

Explanation:

Given :

Mass of Sun = 2 * 10³⁰ kg

Mass of earth = 6 * 10²⁴ kg

Average = 1.5 * 10⁸ km = 1.5 * 10¹¹ m.

F = (GMm)/d²

  = (6.67 * 10⁻¹¹ * 2 * 10³⁰ * 6 * 10²⁴)/(1.5 * 10¹¹)²

 = (6.67 * 10⁻¹¹ * 2 * 10³⁰ * 6 * 10²⁴)/(1.5 * 1.5 * 10²²)

 = (6.67 * 2 * 6 * 10⁴³)/(1.5 * 1.5 * 10²²)

= (6.67 * 2 * 6 * 10²¹)/(1.5 * 1.5)

= 35.5 * 10²¹ N

= ~3.55 * 10²² N

Hope it helps!
