given : Mass of Mars = 6.39 x 10^22 kg

Mass of Jupiter = 6189 x 10^27 kg

Distance = 749 x 10^3 m

To find : Force Exerted by Jupiter on Mars.

Solution : Force exerted by an object on another object is given by the equation,

F = G M1M2/ R^2

F = 6.7 x 10^-11 x 6.39 x 10^22 x 189 x 10^ 27/ (749 x 10^3)^2

F = 1.44 x 10^30 N

Hence the force exerted by Jupiter on Mars is equal to 1.44 x 10^30 N
