Answer:

intial momentum=10*5=50kgm/s

final momentum=10*10=100kgm/s

f=change in momentum/t

=50/10=5newton

Answer :-

Given :-

  • Mass of object = 10 kg
  • Initial velocity = 5 m/s
  • Final velocity = 10 m/s
  • Time taken = 10 seconds

To Find :-

  • Initial momentum
  • Final momentum
  • Magnitude of force of object

Solution :-

We know that,

Momentum = Mass × Velocity

Calculating Initial momentum -

Initial momentum = Mass × Initial velocity

= 10 × 5

= 50

Initial momentum = 50 kgm/s

Calculating Final momentum -

Initial momentum = Mass × Final velocity

= 10 × 5

= 100

Initial momentum = 100 kgm/s

Calculating Force Exerted on object -

We know that,

Force = Final momentum - Initial momentum / t

Substituting the values -

Force = 100 - 50 / 10

= 50 / 10

= 5

Force exerted on the object = 5 N
