hey mate here is your ans:-

Na2O has anti flourite structure which contains 8 Na ions and 4 oxygen ions. So its actual unit cell contains 4 times the mass of one formula unit(i.e. Na2O)

hope this helps you.

Hii Jatin,

This question is incomplete without corresponding options.

# Options are -

1) Twice the formula mass of Na2O

2) Four times the formula mass of Na2O

3) Six times the formula mass of Na2O

4) Thrice the formula mass of Na2O

◆ Answer -

(2) Four times the formula mass of Na2O

● Explanation -

  • Na2O is present in face centred cubic crystal structure.
  • Each cell of FCC contains 4 particles per unit cell (for FCC, Z = 4).
  • Thus, 1 unit cell contains 4 molecules of Na2O.
  • Therefore, mass of unit cell will be four times the formula mass of Na2O.

Thanks dear...
