The mass of the earth, M= 6*10^24 Kg
The mass of the Moon, m= 7.4*10^22 Kg
The distance between the earth and the moon, d= 3.84*10^5 Km or 3.84*10^5*1000 metres= 3.84*10^8 meters.
G= 6.7*10^-11 Nm^2Kg^-2
Force exerted by the earth on the moon=
F=G(M*m)/d^2 Thus,
(6.7*10^-11 Nm^2 Kg^-2*6*10^24 Kg*7.4*10^22Kg)/(3.84*10^8 m) ^2=
2.01*10^20 N
Thus, the force exerted by the earth on the moon is 2.01*10^20 N
HOPE THIS HELPS.
