CSGO RANKS » THE CS:GO RANKING SYSTEM EXPLAINED
If you are into CS:GO and you really enjoy playing this popular esport on a competitive level, we have prepared an excellent piece for you where you can find all about CS:GO ranks, how the CS:GO ranking system works, CSGO levels and more.
WHAT ARE CSGO RANKS?
The CSGO ranking system is very weird, especially if you played the game for a while. Before we start breaking down the most important information regarding CSGO ranks, it is necessary for you to understand what CSGO ranks are. Basically, after every competitive match, you are gaining ELO points(which cannot be seen). Keep in mind that everything you do around the map will be added or deducted to your ELO rating.
If you are a newbie, your first CS:GO rank will probably vary somewhere between Silver III and Gold Nova II. This will represent your current skill-bracket and in most scenarios, you will be matched against players with similar skill-sets. So basically, CS:GO ranks represent your current skill in the game, which includes positioning, aim, awareness, map knowledge, utility line-ups, crosshair placement, movement and game sense.
In order to improve, you will need to work on all of the aspects I mentioned above. However, if you want to climb the CSGO ranking system faster, I would advise you to work on your aim.

Statistically speaking, most players in CSGO are stuck between the Gold Nova I and Master Guardian I ranks. Roughly, around 30% of the players are still trying to find a way out of these ranks, and I believe that if you follow our advice, you will climb the CS:GO ranking system very fast.
As for the godlike status in CS:GO (Global Elite). At the time of writing, only 0.78% of players are competing at this level, and this says a lot about the game and how competitive it is.
Find teammates. It’s as simple as that. Do not play this game with 4 random players. There is so much more you can do if you play in a team. Your communication will be on point, you can do executes together, and help each other out. All in all, the game is so much easier and better when it’s played with people who are willing to communicate.
CSGO LEVELS
Alongside the CS:GO ranks, you will also stumble upon a wide variety of CSGO levels. Contrary to ranks, levels do not represent your skill level. However, levels will accurately represent the amount of time you’ve invested in CS:GO.
