answer : 0.01 mol

explanation : concentration of BaCl2 = 0.5M

volume of BaCl2 = 20ml

so, no of moles of BaCl2 = concentration × volume in Litre = 0.5 × 20/1000 = 0.01mol

similarly, concentration of H2SO4 = 1M

volume of H2SO4 = 20ml

so, no of moles of H2SO4 = 1 × 20/1000 = 0.02 mol

now see the reaction ....

BaCl2+H2SO4. -->BaSO4+2HCL

here we see one mole of BaCl2 reacts with one mole of H2SO4.

so, 0.01 mole of BaCl2 reacts with 0.01 mol of H2SO4. but given H2SO4 = 0.02mol

so, BaCl2 is limiting reagent

again from reaction,

one mole of BaCl2 gives one mole of BaSO4

so, 0.01 mole of BaCl2 will give 0.01 mole of BaSO4.

hence, no of mole of BaSO4 = 0.01 mol
