The maximum number of trees which can be planted, 20 meters apart , on the two sides of straight road 1760 meters long.(considering the first tree planted just at the start of the road)

First tree is planted at the beginning. Then after each 20m anothe tree is planted . So total of 88+1=89 trees can be planted on one side. Likewise another 89 trees can be planted on the other side too.

So total 89+89=178 trees can be planted.
