The maximum speed of train is 80km per hour it takes 10hours to cover a distance of 400km .find the ratio of its maximum speed to its average speed.

max. speed = 80km/hr
average speed = total distance/total time
so , avg. speed = 400/ 10 = 40 km/hr
so, the ratio = max. speed/avg. speed
=80/40 =2:1
