Given:-

Maximum temperature of the city = 18 °C.

Minimum temperature recorded on the same day = -3 °C.

To Find:-

What is the fall in the temperature ?

Solution:-

It is given that both the temperature was recorded on the same day. we have to calculate the fall in the temperature . So the fall in temperature will be

Fall in Temperature = Initial Temperature - Final Temperature.

where

  • Initial temperature was 18°C
  • Final temperature was -3 °C

Substitute the value we get

:\implies Fall in temperature = 18°C - (-3°C)

:\implies Fall in temperature = 18°C + 3 °C

:\implies Fall in temperature = 21°C

  • Hence, the fall in the temperature is 21 degree Celsius .
