The mean age of 40 students in 16 years and the age of an other 60 students is 20 years. Find out

= 16 × 40 = 640 years

Sum of the ages of other 60 students

= 60 × 20 = 1200 years

Sum of the ages of all 100 students

= 640 + 1200 = 1840 years

Therefore , The mean age of all 100 students

= 1840/100

= 184/10 = 18.4 years
