Answer:

The mean age of remaining children is 3.31 years

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Mean age of 100 children = 9.35

Sum of the ages of 100 children

=9.35*100

=935

Also given,

Mean age of 25 of them is 8.75

Mean age of 65 of them is 10.51

Let the mean age of remaining 10 of them be x

Then,

sum of the ages of 100 children

=(25*8.75)+(65*10.51)+(10*x)

=218.75+683.15+10x

=901.9+10x

But,

901.9+10x=935

10x=935-901.9

10x=33.1

x=3.31
