The mean annual salary of a company is rs 30000. The mean annual salary of male and female are 35000 and 23000.find out the % of male and female working in the company

Let, Male employees = x and Female employees = y

∴ (x + y) 30000 = x \times 35000 + y \times 23000

=> (x + y) \times 30 = 35x +23y

=> 30x + 30y = 35x + 23y

=> 5x= 7y

=> \frac{x}{y} = \frac{4}{3}

=> x : y = 7 : 5

Percentage of female:7/12×100=58.3%

Or males:5/12×100=83.3%
