Answer:

mean income of remainders = 76.67

Step-by-step explanation:

The mean income of a group of 100 employees = 50

income amount = 50 × 100

= 5000

The mean income of 10 of them = 30

income amount of 10 employees = 30 × 10 = 300

The mean income of another 60 = 40

income amount of these 60 employees = 60 × 40 = 2400

TOTAL INCOME OF (10+60) EMPLOYEES =

2400 + 300 = 2700

No of remaining employees = 100 - (10 + 60) = 30

Amount of remaining income = 5000 - 2700 = 2300

therefore mean income of remainders =

 \frac{2300}{30} = 76.67

76.67
