total student = 7
Let the marks of seventh student be x
Total marks of student= 340+180+260+56+275+307 + x
= 1418 + x
Now,
mean = total marks / total number of students
226 = (1418 +x) / 7
1418 + x = 226 × 7
1418 + x = 1582
x = 1582 -1418
x = 164


So the marks of seventh student is 164
