Answer:

Mean marks of the second group in 85

Step-by-step explanation:

There are 10 students

Their mean marks is 70 (Xₓ)

∑Xi / n = 70

∑Xi = 700

these 10 students divided in to 2 groups of 6 and 4 respectively

1st group

       Students - 6 (m)

       mean mark is 60 (X1)

2nd group

       Students - 4 (n)

     mean mark - X2

Combined Mean

                  Xₓ =  {m.X1 + n.X2}   /   m+n

                 70 =  {6.60 + 4(X2)} / 10

                700 = 360 + 4*X2

               4*X2 = 340

                X2 = 85
