the mean marks of 30 students in a class is 70 find the marks of the topper if the mean marks of others is 69

Answer:

99

29 = 69

30 = 70

clearly we can see that average increases by 1 when one member added.

This 1 will effect all 29 members

1×29 = 29

Marks of the topper = 29 + 70

= 99
