the mean monthly salary of 10 members of a group is Rs1445.One more member whose monthly salary is Rs1500 has joined the group.Find the mean monthly salary of 11 members of the group.

Here,
Initial mean of salary(in rs)=1445
Total no of initial members=10
Therefore sum of initial observation=1445*10=14450
Now new sum of observation=14450+1500= 15950
And new total no of members=11
Therefore,new mean =15950/11=1450
