total salary for all amployees divided by number of employees is equal to average salary for each employee.

average salary for each employee multiplied by number of employees is equal to total salary for all amployees.

-----

75 employees make an average of 1420 each.

that's a total of 75 * 1420 = 106500

25 of them make an average of 1350 each.

that's a total of 25 * 1350 = 33750

30 of them make an average of 1425 each.

that's a total of 30 * 1425 = 42750.

so you have 75 people make a total of 106500 and you have 25 of them make a total of 33750 and you have 30 of them make a total of 42750.

the number of people left are 75 - 25 - 30 = 20.

the total salary left is 106500 - 33750 - 42750 = 30000.

the average for the remaining 20 is 30000 / 20 = 1500.

75 people at an average of 1420 each is equal to a total of 106500.

this is composed of:

25 people at an average of 1350 each is equal to a total of 33750.

30 people at an average of 1425 each is equal to a total of 42750.

20 people at an average of 1500 each is equal to a total of 30000.

25 + 30 + 20 = 75.

33750 + 42750 + 30000 = 106500.

numbers look good.

hope this helped
