Solution :-

Mean monthly age of 7 experinced and 5 inexperienced workers = $ 1000

Number of workers = 7 + 5 = 12

We know that

Mean = Sum of 7observations/Number of observations

So sum of workers monthly ages = Mean * Number of workers = 1000 * 12 = $ 12000

Mean of mothly wage of 5 inexperienced workers = $ 846

Number of inexperienced workers = 5

So sum of inexperienced workers monthly wages = Mean * Number of inexperienced workers = 846 * 5 = $ 4230

Sum of 7 experienced workers = sum of workers monthly ages - sum of 5 inexperienced workers monthly ages = 12000 - 4230 = $ 7770

Number of experienced workers = 7

Mean monthly wage of 7 experienced workers = Sum of 7 experienced workers monthly ages/ Number of experienced workers

= 7770/7

= $ 1110

Therefore mean mothly wage of 7 experienced workers is $ 1110
