Hey!

Numbers are :- 10 , 12 , 16 , 20 , P , 26

mean \:  =  \frac{sum \: of \:  \: all \:  \: the \: nos.}{total \: no.}

17 =  \frac{84 + p}{6}

102 = 84 + p

102 - 84 = p

18 = p

So, p = 18 !!

Hi,

Here is your answer,

Given data,

Mean of 10 , 12 , 16 , 20 , P , 26  is 17

We know that,

Mean = Sum of all observations/Number of observations

→   17 = 84 + p/6     { 17 × 6 }

→  102 = 84 + p         ∴ (+) will go to right hand side it will become (-)

→102 - 84 = p

→ 18 = p

Hope it helps you !
