the mean of 10 number is 20. if 5 is subtracted from every number what will be the mean

mean = (x1+x2---x10)/10

20 = (x1+x2---x10)/10

20*10= (x1+x2--x10)

200  = (x1+x2 --x10)

it means that the sum of 10 numbers is 200

if 5 is subtracted from each, it means that (5*10) is subtracted from whole addition

now

new mean = [(200) -50]/10

new mean = [150]/10

new mean = 15

then the new mean is 15
