so,

12 =  \frac{sum}{10}

sum = 10 × 12

sum = 120

if 2 is added to each number then,

new \: mean \:  =   \frac{sum \:  + (2 \times 10)}{10}

 = \:  \frac{120  + 20}{10}

 =   \frac{140}{10}

so the new mean is 14.
