the mean of 10 numbers is 55 if one number is excluded their mean becomes 50 find the excluded number

Mean of 10 numbers = 55

Sum of 10 numbers = 55×10 = 550

Mean of the numbers after exclusion = 50

Sum of the numbers after exclusion = 50×9 = 450

So, the excluded number = 550-450 = 100
