The mean of 10 observations is 16 . 5. it was later noticed that one observation was taken as 57 instead of 75 by mistake. then find the correct mean of the data .

Answer:

sum of observation=10*16

sum of observation=160

sum of observation+75-57=New sum of observation

New sum of observation=170

mean=170/10

mean =17
