hi friend!!!

let 10th observation be x

we know that mean= sum of observations /no.of observations

20= (16+20+18+17+22+16+15+20+17+x)/10

→200=161+x

→x=39

I hope this will help u :)

Answer:

37

Step-by-step explanation:

The mean of 10 observations is 20

Mean = (Sum of all observations)/(Total number of observations)

20 = (Sum of all observations)/10

20*10 = Sum of all observations

200 = Sum of 10 observations

9 of the observation are 16,20,18,17,22,16,15,20,17

Sum of these 9 observations = 16+20+18+17+22+16+15+22+17

                                                 = 163

10th observation = Sum of 10 observations - Sum of 9 observations

                            =200-163

                            =37

Hence the 10th observation is 37
