if 5 is added to every number then the new mean is:
sum of all the numbers / observations ÷ total number of observations = mean
so here sum / 12 = 24
=>sum = 24 × 12
=> sum = 288
so if 5 is added to every number then the sum will be 12 × 5 =60
so now the new sum we got is 60. we will add 60 to 288 = 348
sum we got = 348
total observation is still 12 only.
so new mean = 348 /12 = 29
so the answer is option C 29.
