Step-by-step explanation:

Sum of 15 observations = 32*15 = 480

(i) When each observation increased by 3

Then New sum = 480 + 45 = 525

new mean = 525/15 = 35

(ii) when each observation decreased by 7

Then New sum = 480 - 105 = 375

new mean = 375/15 = 25

Answer:

1)35

2)25

Step-by-step explanation:

1)increased by 3

so the new mean =32+3

=35

2)decreased by 7

so the new mean=32-7

=25

isn't it so simple
