Hey Mate !
Given,
Mean of 16 numbers = 10
mean = sum of all observations / Number of observations
let the sum of all observations be x
10 = x/16
160 = x
When 2 is added to every number then total sum is,
= 160 +( 16 × 2 )
= 160 + 32
= 192
New mean = 192/16
= 12
Therefore,
New mean = 12

Solution:-
Mean :- Mean can be define as the Ratio of Sum of Observations to the Total Number of Observations.
Given:-
Mean of 16 Number = 10.
Let the Sum of 16 Numbers be "x".
=) 10 = x / 16
=) x = 160
Therefore, Sum of 16 Numbers is 160.
A.T.Q.
If 2 is added to all the 16 Numbers.
=) 160 + Total Number × 2
=) 160 + 16 × 2
=) 160 + 32
=) 192.
192 is the Sum of all New 16 Numbers.
Now,
=) Mean = 192/16
=) Mean = 12.
Hence,
If 2 is added to every number,then new mean will be 12.
