Answer:

18.6

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the sum of the numbers be s.

=> Mean = s / 16

=> 8 = s / 16

=> s = 8 * 16

=> s = 128

To add 2 to every no. ,

2 * 16 = 32

128 + 32 = 160

=> New Mean = 160 / 16

=> New Mean = 10

HOPE IT HELPS.

\Large{\textbf{\underline{\underline{According\;to\;the\;Questions}}}}

Assumption

Numbers be :-

\tt{\rightarrow x_{1} , x_{2} , x_{3} , ....... , x_{16}}

So,

Mean of the numbers

{\rm \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \:=\dfrac{x_{1}+x_{2}+x{3}+...+x_{16}}{16}}

Therefore,

{\rm \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \:=\dfrac{x_{1}+x_{2}+x{3}+...+x_{16}}{16}=8}

\tt{\rightarrow (x_{1} , x_{2} , x_{3} , ....... , x_{16})=128.....(1)}

New number

\tt{\rightarrow (x_{1}+2) , (x_{2}+2) , (x_{3}+2) , ....... , (x_{16}+2)}

Mean of new numbers

\tt{\rightarrow \dfrac{(x_{1}+2)+(x_{2}+2)+(x_{3}+2)+....+(x_{16}+2)}{16}}

\tt{\rightarrow \dfrac{(x_{1}+x_{2}+x_{3}+....+x_{16})+32}{16}}

\tt{\rightarrow \dfrac{128+32}{16}}

From Equation (1)

\tt{\rightarrow \dfrac{160}{16}}

= 10

New Mean is 10
