Mean if 200 items = 50.

To find :

Correct Mean ?

Solution :

Total items = 200×50= 10000.

Now ,

Different items which are misread

$= (192 - 92) + (88 - 8) = 100 + 80 = 180$

Now , we have to add 180 to our total value

That is , 10000+180 = 10180

So, Now for finding the correct mean

$= \frac{10180}{180} = 10180 = 5.9$

Hence, the correct mean = 5.9
