The mean of 200 itemswas 50. later on, it was discoverd that the two items were misread as 92 and 8 instead of 192 and 88. find the correct mean​

As the mean of 200 items is 50. So,

Total items= 200*50 = 10000.

Now,

Difference of items due to misread

= (192-92 )+ (88-8) = 100 + 80 = 180.

Then, Add 180 to the total value

i.e. 10000+180 = 10180.

So, Correct mean= 10180/200 = 50.9
