the mean of 200 observation is 60. if one of the observation which was 100 is replaced by 300 then what will be the resulting mean​

Answer:  The mean = 60

number of observations=200

replaced number =300

The sum of the means = 60 x 200

=12000

300-100=200

so, now you have to add it to the sum of the observations.

That = 1200 +200

=14000

mean = sum of observations/number of observations

=14000/200

=70

Hence the resulting mean = 70
