The mean of 22 numbers is 19.if two numbers 23 and 11 are removed,then what will be the mean of remaining number?​

let x be the total no. of mean

mean = 19

total number = 22

removed mean = 23, 11

total removed mean = 34

according to the formula for mean,

mean = x / 22

19 = x/22

x = 19×22

x= 418

according to the second condition

23 and 11 numbers are removed

then total 34 number is reduced

x = 418-34

x = 384

therfore mean = 384/22

= 17.45

i.e 17.5
