Given that : the mean of 40 observation is 75 then it's total = 40×75 = 3000

after that the mean of second 60 observation is 65 then it's total = 60×65 = 3900

Then, number of observation after added = 40+60 = 100

and Total of 100 observation = 3000+3900 = 6900

Now, mean of 100 observations = 6900/100

=> Mean = 69
