We know that mean = sum of all observations/total no. of observations
So, 7 = 3+5+7+x+11/5
35 = 28 + x
so, x = 7
So, 7 = 3+5+7+x+11/5
35 = 28 + x
so, x = 7

7 can be the mean only when it is repeated highest number of times.
Therefore X= 7
