Answer:

SOLUTION:

Formula used:

Mean = sum of all observation/total number of observation

Let the observations be a,b,c,d and e.

So, ATQ, we have

(a+b+c+d+e)/5 = 10

So, (a+b+c+d+e) = 50....(1)

Also, [(a+b+c)+(c+d+e)]/6 = 11

(a+b+2c+d+e) = 66...(2)

(2) - (1), we get..

(a+b+2c+d+e) - (a+b+c+d+e) = 66-50

c = 16.

So, the third observation is 16.
