The mean of all correct 50 observation is 4.0

total sum of 50 observations when Mr.X took wrong observation is equals to

= total no. of observations *The mean of 50 observation

=50*4.04

=202( let it be A)

Sum of observation when he takes correct observation is

= A - wrong observation+ correct observation

=A -10 + 8

= 202-10+8

=200( let it be B)

therefore sum of obseravtions when he take all the observation correct is

B= 200.

therefore correct Mean is =  B (Sum of total correct observations)/total no. of observations

                             MEAN= B/50

                             MEAN = 200/50

                             MEAN = 4.0
